In order to sew a QR code, I cut two black and two white button-down shirts. QR code is an initialism for „quick response code“ and I wanted to lead the simplification, wich is the purpose of a QR code, ad absurdum by responding very slowly and inefficient. The message of using business shirts and a technical code is to dignify wonderful technical inventions of man and on the same time to celebrate the quality of handmade and slowly performed hand movements. Where are the limits of efficiency, speed and avoiding the incommodious? When do we overtake ourselves? During an exhibition at Heba Gallery in March 2021, visitors who scanned the code were connected to the slowresponse.org website, where they could see a process video of the layout.
