Kattrin Liesegang lives and works in Berlin, Germany. After studying fashion design at FH Pforzheim and moving image at Gerrit Rietveld academy in Amsterdam, she graduated at UDK Berlin in art and media, where she finished her studies as Meisterschülerin. Her artistic work focuses on textiles, drawing and video. She also works as an art instructor in a family center, where she teaches various disciplines. She is currently in her second year of an apprenticeship as a hand weaver. Her goal is to learn the technique of hand weaving as thoroughly as possible in order to start experimenting from a solid basis.
